 Arts Matter: Integrating the Arts Across the Curriculum (P/J/I)

 
Description: This two day conference for P/J/I teacher candidates provides additional instruction in the arts. The focus of this conference is on valuing the arts and their integration across the curriculum.

Day one of the conference included Music and Drama workshops. 


Day two of the conference included Visual Art and Dance workshops. 

The visual arts workshop incorporated lessons that collaborate every students' work. Each piece is a part of a larger works. 

Art piece cut up into pieces. Each student

draws and colors section onto a square using 

the same colors. Put together (according to 

grid) to make a large art piece.

Each student writes their name creatively on the puzzle piece

then divides the piece into 10-12 different sections and decorates

each in a different pattern.  Once complete, piece is cut out and 

attached with the others.

crayons,etc.)
